What are the principles of design? The principles of design are CRAP! Or Contrast, Repetition, Alignment, and Proximity. What are the elements of design? The elements of design use things like balance, scale, motion, and emphasis to "please" and catch the eye. My video game posterThis poster uses the Principles of Design and the Elements of Design by aligning the ice blocks perfectly with each other. Also, it uses motion to make us think that he is running. And the placement of the fireball near him makes it so it looks like the fireball is moving as well. Nintendo uses a black background to create contrast so that you look at his face. The usage of scale with his foot, the ice, and the fireball makes you look at the fireball. Then, the usage of contrast comes back in the title, which makes you look at the title. The placement of the console name then lets you look at the type of console as well. They are trying to convey to you that he is running and jumping with a fireball. There is ice in the background, so they are trying to tell you that it is cold there too. How this helps meIn the future, when I am making games as a junior, then a senior, then as a young adult, I will need an eye-catching poster with a message on what is going on. Using the principles and elements of design will help greatly, especially in the eye-catching part. Difficult Parts of the weekThe most difficult part of the week was getting everything done on time. Even the catch-up day couldn't get me caught up. Most of it was me getting distracted, but that was my fault some of the time.
