What is a One Page GDD?A "One Page GDD" is a document that explains everything about a game on just one page. It shows and explains the storyline, features, mechanics, target age, etc. of the game. What is the relevance of One Page GDD's?One Page GDD's, according to Stone Librande in his One Page GDD's presentation, are supposed to let people read the whole thing, not just skim over the first page and never read it again (timestamp 13:45). Without these designs, game design teams are given these "bibles" (books full of GDD's about a game) to read. Most people are guilty of reading the first couple of pages, and skimming the rest. They don't get the information they need, which is why we now have these One Page GDD's. My One Page GDDMy GDD is about my board game, The Durham Light Rail. I put my board layout (the route of the light rail) in it, along with the features, target age, explanation of materials, rules, and objective. I put this on there, because I want my artists and designers to incorporate this in the game, making sure that these features are in the game. In Summary
