What is evoland?Evoland (made by Shiro Games in 2013) is a game that focuses on the evolution of games as we know it. From not having sound or color to having 3D textures with 16-bit graphics and music, this game shows the evolution of games in an excellent way. How do you progress through evoland?Evoland's progression method is very unique. It uses chests to provide you with the advancements. For example, you start the game with no color and no sound. You open chests that it provides you, which provide you with sound and movement. Then, as you move on, you get chests with things like 3D graphics, better sound, etc. You ultimately fight a boss at the end. Why is it so important? This game is a good educational opportunity for other teenagers in game design to see how games have evolved over the past half-century. It packs almost all that games have been into one game. It is used as a developmental tool in game design classes all over the country. In summary
